Photography Techniques

Scratching/Ripping - Lorena Cosba

Final Summary:

-I believe that I have replicated the same techniques as Lorena Cosba because have used two photos that line up together and I have ripped the paper to see the photo underneath.

Name:Lorena Cosba

Analysis:

-To create this look, she rips parts of one photo so they have holes in them, and she then sticks the ripped photo on top of a whole picture. This means that some of the picture underneath can be seen through the top photo.

Evaluation:

-I chose these photos because they have interesting shapes in them. Also, because they are they same photo (except that one of them has inverted colours) they line up well.

-I have experimented with this technique because I used an inverted colour photo which adds small amounts of bold colour into the picture.

-I was aiming to achieve a two toned photo and that the two photos lined up well.

Stitching - Melissa Zexter

Name: Melissa Zexter

Analysis:

-In this photo, Melissa Zexter stitched the flowers onto the paper. She used a variety of colours to make each flower and leaf stand out.

Evaluation:

-I chose this photo because the leaf had many shapes which I could emphasise and it had some blank space around the outside which I then added some extra flowers.

-I have experimented with this technique by outlining the different shapes of the leaf. This made it stand out more and it gave them a coloured border.
